The Strictly stars who are getting ready to take to the dancefloor are working hard ahead of this weekend's first show with one contestant selected as a 'dark horse'. Coronation Street star Ellie Leach, who plays Faye Windass, picked an unexpected name when she was asked to name the person she needs to beat, the Express reports.

Asked about this year's dancers and the competition, Amanda said her rival celebrities are “really strong”. Amanda says her fiancé, Britain’s Got Talent’s Jonathan Goodwin, has been putting her “through her paces”. She said: “I’ve set up an ice bath outside, I did it once the other day and hated it and won’t ever go in it again!
