Bea Alonzo will no longer star alongside Alden Richards in the upcoming film “Special Memory,” the local adaptation of the Korean movie “A Moment to Remember,” due to what the actress’ management said is her full schedule this year.
In a statement released to “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Tuesday, May 2, Alonzo’s management said, “In the spirit of fairness, we deemed it appropriate to advise the producers of ‘Special Memory,’ a movie adaptation of ‘A Moment to Remember,’ that Ms. Bea Alonzo had to respectfully beg off from this movie project due to her full schedule this year.”“Ms. Bea Alonzo has contractual obligations with GMA network to fulfill, and that shall remain as our top priority,” it concluded.
Show host Abunda said the actress and her management decided to beg off from the project because Alonzo does not want to keep the cast waiting for her while she attends to her other projects. Abunda added that Alonzo has agreed to and is happy over the production’s decision to recast.
