A mischievous bear has been causing trouble in one particular Monrovia neighborhood and it’s become so infamous that it’s been nicknamed 'Oreo.'
A mischievous bear has been causing trouble in one particular Monrovia neighborhood and it’s become so infamous that it’s been nicknamed after the treat it was spotted rummaging for. “Lately, he’s been too comfortable with us,” said Vine Khoury, who lives in the area. “He got to open a neighbor’s car and got the groceries out. Got a box of Oreos and that’s where his name came from.”Khoury has lived in the neighborhood for 20 years and said it isn’t uncommon to spot wildlife in the area.
Last summer, this same bear found its way into Khoury’s garage and satisfied its sweet tooth.
