David Townsend David Townsend, of Accrington and formerly of Arthur Street, Clayton-le-Moors, passed away suddenly but peacefully in hospital, surrounded by his loving family on December 27, aged 77 years.
He was definitely a character who loved to be right and would argue that black was white. David lived his life with a passion, whether for his family, his deals or his precious Burnley Football Club, whom he had followed around the country. He doted on April and their daughters and was a proud dad and he adored his grandchildren. David will be missed by so many. A funeral service will be held at St Mary’s RC Church, Clayton-le-Moors on Tuesday, January 17 at 10.30am followed by interment in Dill Hall Cemetery.
Iris sadly leaves behind her dearly-loved husband David, her much-loved daughter Amy and her partner Damien, her treasured grandson Lewis, and her other dear family members John, Denise, Sharon and Tina. She was also very dear to the late Janet and the late Malcolm and friend to many. Linda’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, and in particular her grandchildren. She enjoyed her garden, loved her books and never missed a family weekend away.
William Hindle William Hindle, of Laburnum Drive, Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully at the Royal Blackburn Hospital surrounded by his loved ones on December 28, aged 86 years.
