Organisers hope a month-long programme of events will bring people together in Weston-super-Mare.
Named Beautifully Proud, Weston-super-Mare is hosting a number of events, activities, exhibitions and performances throughout Pride month.
A spokesperson for the town council said: "We are going to shine a light on what our town has to offer the community year-round and showcase the support available in our great town". This year, the town council has been working with local organisations, including the Proud Bar and Community Hub, North Somerset LGBT+ Forum and Bridging the Gap Together, to curate a programme of events for all ages across multiple venues.Weston-super-Mare town councilWeston Museum will also be hosting the first ever Beautifully Proud Exhibition from 25 until 29 June.
Meanwhile, the North Somerset LGBT+ Forum will offer drop-in sessions throughout the month to support those in the LGBTQ+ community who need a "non-judgemental environment and people that understand", Mr Briers said.
