Raava64's Belle Beauty & The Beast cosplay adds a seasonal twist to the beloved Disney princess' iconic gown that makes her ready for the coming winter season. A booksmart girl from a small provincial town in France voiced by Paige O'Hara in 1991's beloved animated movie, Belle finds herself an unwilling guest of the Beast , but soon learns the tragic mistake that led to his transformation, helping him become more human as time progresses.
Raava64 perfectly captures the appearance of Belle, with her delicate and graceful golden gown and all of its layered details. However, the winter backdrops and coat add a unique twist to the costume, helping it stand out and showcase the crafting skills of the Disney cosplayer. However, the status of Belle's dress would later cause trouble for Disney when bringing the tale into reality in Beauty & The Beast's live-action adaptation. While Academy Award-winning costume designer Jacqueline Durran was given the difficult task of redesigning a realistic rendition of the gown, the real-world costume was met with a divisive response, attracting praise for capturing its appearance, though the realistic textures and muted hues failed to help the dress stand out.
