A man charged with assault after singer Bebe Rexha was hit in the face with a mobile phone while performing on stage said he threw the phone"because it would be funny".
According to the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, when asked by officers at the scene,"who threw the phone?" Malvagna responded,"I did," and added:"I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny".
