The couple returned home after their daughter's 17th birthday to find their house ransacked, with thieves stealing an estimated 200 items including designer handbags, jewelry, and a Rolex watch. Despite clear CCTV footage showing the perpetrators, the police closed the case after two weeks, citing insufficient evidence. The Birches claim the investigating officer neglected the case and did not even review the CCTV, leaving them feeling frustrated and unprotected.
