An expanding East Lancashire bedroom furniture supplier is seeking to extend is premises with a new industrial unit.
A supporting statement submitted with the planning application to Blackburn with Darwen Council says: “The site is located on the periphery of a secondary employment area occupying an elevated position at the junction of Watery Lane and Spring Vale Road.“The site encompasses two detached structures: one accommodating three individual industrial units identified as units A, B and C with the other housing a single industrial unit, identified as unit D.
“The primary purpose of the new unit is to provide accommodation for the unloading and storage of materials that are used within the manufacturing process for First Choice Bedrooms Ltd. The current manufacturing process involves the assembly of bedroom furniture from pre-laminated timber core panels.
