Beeston Hockey Club is grieving the sudden death of 18-year-old Millie Brian, a valued staff member who passed away on Saturday, December 21st. Millie had worked at the Nottingham Hockey Centre for two years, starting in the kitchen and later moving to the bar. The club expressed their deepest condolences to Millie's family and colleagues.
Beeston Hockey Club have paid an emotional tribute to a 'beloved staff member' who has died at the age of 18. Millie Brian had worked her way up at the Nottingham Hockey Centre - where the Bees are based on part of Highfields Park, in University Boulevard - having started working in the kitchen before moving on to the bar.
Players, coaches, colleagues and volunteers have been left devastated as the club announced Millie had died in the early hours of Saturday morning, December 21. The club issued a moving tribute on Facebook and said Millie's family were aware, and the Bees asked for the community to respect the family at such a difficult time.
A statement on the Beeston Hockey Facebook page read: "It is with a huge and heavy heart we have to announce the death of our beloved staff member, Millie Brian, who passed away in the early hours of this morning ."Aged just 18, Millie had worked at the Hockey Centre for the past two years, starting off by working in the kitchen before moving upstairs to the bar.
"Further details will be released in the future but we ask everyone to respect Lucy, Noah and her close family at this awful time. Millie, you will be loved and missed forever by all of us."
