Someone said his name three times because Beetlejuice is back for the sequel of the 1988 Tim Burton film. Along with Michael Keaton, Catherine O'Hara, Winona Ryder, and Jenna Ortega will also star in the movie.
Winona Ryder, 52, is seen in all black as Lydia Deetz as she talks about the 'living and the dead.'
Years have passed since the events of the original film, and now Lydia is a mother to a teenage daughter Astrid . 'When I was a demon, a trickster demon terrorized our entire family and tried to force me to marry him,' Lydia warns Astrid. 'I believed he was gone forever until you found this in the attic,' she said, referencing the poster.'Don't ever say that name!' Lydia angrily tells her daughter.'If you say his name three times, he will appear,' she practically whispers.
Viewers are then shown snippets of their wild ride into the underworld, where they meet a slew of new faces played by Justin Theroux and Willem Dafoe.
A synopsis for the sequel reads: 'After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened.'
