Has the art world previously failed and undervalued Black artists?

Where did the idea for 'Begin Again' start? Talk us through the title of the exhibition.I have always chosen quite humorous titles, but that didn't sit right on this occasion. The on-going discussions I had, with Rayvenn and Lotte Anderson, two fabulous artists and curators, was invaluable. While I was working on the exhibition, I was always going back, changing things, making sure everything was just right. During this restructuring, the title somehow just fell into place.

Essentially, this requires extreme organisation, and more often than not, doing a seven-day working week. They negotiate a very similar timeline in terms of ‘things to do’ but for me, there was much more labour in building a physical exhibition as there is the physicality of loathing them in a space to build a cohesive whole. In the virtual exhibition, for example, all you have to so in this respect is schedule posts and have all the appropriate artist information.
