Ryan Destiny, who will be seen as Claressa “T-Rex” Shields in 'The Fire Inside,' attended the Dior Couture show in Paris.
Destiny, who is best known for her role in Lee Daniels’ Fox series “Star,” will be seen this Christmas in Amazon MGM’s biopic “The Fire Inside,” in which she portrays boxer Claressa “T-Rex” Shields. The film is written by Barry Jenkins and tells the story of Shields, who became the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing and the first American boxer ever to win gold in back-to-back Olympic Games.
Her look “fit like a glove even at the fitting, I was so happy,” she said. The outfit consisted of a black fitted jacket and a short black skirt to match, which paired with her bobbed hair. “We naturally gravitated toward a shorter style to compliment the look. It just made sense,” Destiny said.
