A Belfast boxing coach is hoping to help others after bouncing back from a mental health breakdown five years ago. Donard McNally was left hospitalised back in 2019 after falling into stress-induced psychosis. With his first-born son on the way, and the pressures of running his own business, the then 25-year-old didn't notice the subtle signs until it was too late. He recalls: "People told me I was very high energy, even in the way I spoke. I was speaking faster and was very manic.
And that's what it was, it was a manic episode I went through. I got caught up in everything, wanting to make everything perfect. And it was never going to be perfect.
