A man in his 30s had to undergo surgery for serious injuries he sustained during an incident in Belfast city centre.
Following an altercation officers say the victim was knocked unconscious, and when he regained consciousness, no-one else was at the scene.A PSNI spokesperson said: "It was reported that at approximately 2am, a man aged in his thirties was knocked unconscious during an altercation outside licensed premises on the Dublin Road. When he regained consciousness, no-one else was at the scene.
