The council says it's making arrangements for any bins or Bryson Recycling boxes which have not been emptied today due to high winds.

Belfast City Council has issued an update to residents on bin collections which have been impacted on Friday due to Storm Eowyn .

Residents have been urged to stay at home as the storm sweeps across the island. The top-level red weather warning for wind remained in force until 2pm.READ MORE: NIFRS receive over 160 emergency calls so far during Storm Éowyn red warning "Bins should be left out by 7am tomorrow morning . If they are not emptied tomorrow, residents should bring them back in, and then leave out again by 7am on Sunday, 26 January.
