The NI Children's Commissioner has called for a unified response to protect children from organised gangs
Children as young as seven were involved in disorder in Belfast where police were attacked with bricks and petrol bombs.
He said: "Children as young as seven are reported to have been throwing bricks, bottles, and petrol bombs at police in the Broadway area of South Belfast last night, as the rioting continued for a second night. A man aged 38 was arrested following a second night of violence and police have said they will continue to patrol the area.
"People on all sides, in and around the areas involved in the rioting, have been decimated by Stormont misrule. Poverty, unemployment, and lack of services are felt on both sides of the divide.
