A man has been refused bail after appearing in court charged with a range of offences connected to an alleged campaign of domestic abuse.

Mark Sell, 35, who is originally from West Belfast but had a listed address of Grove Street, Lisburn, appeared via video link from prison at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday, November 25, where he faced 15 charges for a range of offences that took allegedly place between August 2022 and January 2024.

These include charges of non-fatal strangulation or asphyxiation, assault causing actual bodily harm, threats to kill, criminal damage, dangerous driving, improper use of public communications, resisting police and assaulting a police officer. The court also heard that it was aware of two potential breaches of bail conditions with regards to the offences, however these are yet to be dealt with.
