It happened at Monagh Crescent

Police in West Belfast are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked while pushing her young child in a pram.

The incident happened at Monagh Crescent on Sunday, March 5. It was reported that the woman was assaulted by a man at around 8.40pm, and had her purse stolen. A PSNI spokesperson said the man was described as being of slim build and was wearing a black track suit, a hat and a scarf covering his face."The woman did not require medical attention following the incident but was left badly shaken," they added.

"Officers would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area on Sunday evening, or anyone in the area with CCTV or doorbell footage which could be of assistance to their investigation, to contact them at Woodbourne station on 101, quoting reference number 1671 05/03/23. "A report can be submitted online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ or you can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at http://crimestoppers-uk.org/."For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here.
