'Other kids in school would comment on my size and leave me feeling embarrassed about how I looked'
Lorraine McCaffrey says the turning point came for her after several years of suffering with her body image. Now, she says she feels she can set a positive example for her three daughters.
After numerous failed attempts in the past, Lorraine struggled to believe she could achieve her dream of shedding three stone. "When you've tried and failed so many times - it’s hard to imagine things being any different. I called Lee and explained how I was feeling and how poorly my health had become.
Lee, the consultant of the group, told Belfast Live: "There was no stopping Lorraine. She had lost over half a stone in just two weeks and I could see she was starting to believe in herself. Everyone was so excited to see her each week and support her further. She said: "I am genuinely so happy. Shedding the weight was so important to me as I wanted to be a positive example for my three daughters. In the world we live in today, social media can lead young, impressionable women to believe they are not enough.
