One eyewitness reported a 'hissing noise' before their 'house shook'
Residents in Belfast and Newtownabbey have reported sounds of a "deafening roar" as an RAF plane flew over the city.
This scheduled flight is understood to have been for training conducted by RAF Coningsby in support of NATO's Air Policing Mission.Read more: Three facing ‘stirring up hatred’ prosecution over Michaela McAreavey song One eyewitness from the Jordanstown area told Belfast Live: "Just now I was sitting together with my family having dinner, and all of a sudden we hear this hissing noise like a steam cooker.
Plenty of other residents took to social media to share their confusion over the noise, and the sight of the jet flying above the city.
