Cooke RFC will use the money to invest in its women and girls’ rugby programmes
A Belfast rugby club has benefitted from £10,000 grant aid to continue its work in promoting female participation in the sport.The funding support has been provided by Royal London, the UK’s largest mutual pensions, protection and investment provider, with Cooke becoming one of the first winners of the company's annual Championing Women and Girls’ Rugby Award.
Set up in partnership with The British & Irish Lions, the Championing Women and Girls’ Rugby Award grant scheme is designed to celebrate outstanding initiatives by local rugby clubs from across the four unions in supporting women’s rugby.
