The Lagmore Youth Project has been awarded two National Lottery grants that will significantly enhance support for young people and the community in the Colin area
A West Belfast -based youth project is celebrating a significant milestone with a double grant award from The National Lottery Community Fund totalling £220,000. This funding promises to transform the community and significantly enhance support for young people.
In addition to this, the programme will offer structured after-school activities that provide a safe and supportive environment for young people to learn and grow. It will also train young adults and older peers to become mentors themselves, fostering a culture of peer support and leadership within the community.
This funding will support a variety of activities and services, including community events, educational workshops and youth engagement. "The Lagmore Youth Project extends its heartfelt gratitude to The National Lottery Community Fund and all those who play The National Lottery. Without their support, these transformative initiatives would not be possible."
Lagmore Youth Project's bolstered capacity to provide comprehensive support services and community activities is expected to significantly aid the area's recovery efforts. Aiming to address both community cohesion and individual resilience, the project seeks to foster a supportive and flourishing environment for all residents.
