The overhauled pub will reopen under its original name
A beloved community pub in Rochdale will go back to the future after locals voted to revert to using its original name.
It comes after brewery Joseph Holt took over the venue - saying The Roebuck was the 'clear winner' out of a string of suggestions submitted by customers.“When we bought Thornberries we really wanted customers to play a key part in rejuvenating this popular pub and we were inundated with responses," said Mark Norbury, Joseph Holt Pub Director
"With the pub regaining its original name, we`re thrilled the past is being acknowledged in the exciting future of the pub as it undergoes a full refurbishment.”
