'She will be missed by everyone who knew her'
Tributes have been paid to a former ski attendant who was "dedicated to her family" and "loved by all". Valerie "Val" Gilbert died at Haslingden Hall Care Home last month.
“Since retiring she loved holidays, especially cruising. We went together and she really enjoyed a cruise up to the North Cape in the Arctic Circle to see the Northern Lights and husky dog sledging.” Manager of Ski Rossendale, David Fuller, said: “I would like to say from everyone at Ski Rossendale, how lovely a person Val was and she will be missed by everyone who knew her. Our thoughts are with all the family at his time.”
