Ben Johnson will leave West Ham upon the expiry of his contract amid strong interest from the likes of Leeds United and Rangers., senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Johnson, 24, will now leave the London Stadium despite efforts to convince him to remain beyond this summer.
Johnson made 25 appearances for the Hammers in the recently passed season, with 15 of those coming from the bench as he averaged 44.9 minutes per game across the season. He is primarily a right-back, but has recently been utilised as a left-back, wing-back, midfielder and even a winger by David Moyes with his energy from the bench used to solidify the team late in games.
