Ben Miller has revealed he was actually once approached to play Doctor Who, but never heard back after accepting.
The comedian, who was one half of Armstrong and Miller, has starred in Professor T and Death in Paradise.today, he revealed: ‘I would have loved to have been Doctor Who.
‘I was once approached and asked if I would be interested in being Doctor Who, this is going back a few years, and I said, “Yes, I would be interested.”‘‘And Doctor Who became more and more successful without me.’Ben insisted however that he wasn’t ‘bitter’, recalling that he did get to play one character, the ‘Sherrif of Nottingham’, in the episode titled ‘Robot of Sherwood’, in which he starred alongside Jenna Coleman.
