Ben's mum Linda, 51, says she hopes she will eventually be given answers on what happened to her son.
British police are investigating claims the body of a boy found in a German river could be missing tot Ben Needham. The 21-month-old disappeared on the Greek island of Kos in 1991.
The boy, believed to be aged five to six, was found last May in Grossmehring, Bavaria. The Mirror reports it has approached German police to see if his death could be historic, while Interpol said it was not clear how long the body had been in the water. Interpol DNA Database Manager Francois-Xavier Laurent said: "We have received 33 hits from the public. We can now assume that this boy was probably not German."
Interpol published details of the case in hopes of finding the boy's name and determining "the suspicious circumstances surrounding his death". He was around 3ft 6ins tall and weighed around two stone four lbs with brown hair and type O blood.
