After months of discussion, Berea City Council finally adopted an ordinance at its July 22 special meeting that enables one dual-use cannabis dispensary to be located on the city’s west side.

Prior to passing the ordinance, however, Councilman Gene Zacharyasz questioned the business regulation aspect of the new clause.Law Director Barbara Jones replied that the city indeed may do so. “You could make a zoning change if for some reason you decided to allow more than one , or if for any reason the business wanted to do something else.”
