Meteorologist Danielle Miller tracks Hurricane Beryl as it makes landfall in the United States and begins making its way to the northeast.

The remnants of Beryl will move northeast across the country alongside a passing cold front, bringing a path of heavy rainfall and storm chances with it.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Beryl made landfall as a Category 1 Hurricane along Texas' Gulf Coast early Monday morning. While the tropical characteristics of this storm will weaken as it lifts north across the country, the remnants of Beryl will continue to bringThe latest forecast track as of 11 a.m. Monday from the National Hurricane Center has now Tropical Storm Beryl weakening into a tropical depression by Tuesday as the storm is absorbed into a cold front moving in from the west.

While Central Pennsylvania is not currently under any severe storm risk from the SPC, I do anticipate at least a low risk for severe weather given the nature of this setup. Tropical systems often bring gusty winds and a spin up tornado risk as they move through. Beryl bears down on Texas, where it's expected to hit Monday and regain hurricane strength
