We’re tracking Category 5 Hurricane Beryl as it moves across the eastern Caribbean. By tomorrow it is expected to make landfall in Jamaica as a major hurricane. This storm is expected to weaken due to wind shear as it heads towards the Yucatan Peninsula late in the week. After hitting the Yucatan, it will move into the southwest Gulf and the steering currents will likely allow a turn to the north. Folks on the Texas coastline will need to closely monitor this turn.
