So many places to enjoy a relaxing break
OK, so it might be a bit nippy at the moment but as soon as spring starts to beckon you may just be ready for a quick break in the countryside - or even a winter weekend with a wood-fired hot tub. Seeking out some of the region's best camping and glamping sites now will mean that when holiday time comes, you won't have to fight off the competition for the best site. To make the job super easy, the winners of the 2022 Camping and Glamping Awards have been announced.
Martin Smith, founder of the website said: “With so many great sites it hasn’t been easy to choose the winners, but these sites have offered campers something extra special this year, going above and beyond for their guests. Congratulations to all the winners.” As you might expect, many of those highlighted are in holiday hotspots such as Cornwall, Devon and Norfolk, with Scotland also seeing its fair share of winners too. However, with regional awards being handed out in all categories Nottinghamshire shone through in the East Midlands category.
The best couple campsite nationally was Wold Meadow in East Yorkshire. However, another strong contender in this category was adults-only site Oxton Hill Hideaway in Nottinghamshire, which took the runner up prize for the East Midlands.
