Rats can be a real nuisance when they enter your home and garden, but one woman has shared a simple and effective way to get rid of them using a common household item
Rats , known for their ability to squeeze through tiny gaps as small as a 20p piece, can be a real nuisance in homes and gardens. One woman, desperate to rid her property of these pests without resorting to lethal means, sought advice on the Gardening Hints and Tips Facebook group.
She continued, detailing the havoc caused by the rodents: "He's flicked compost everywhere and is digging small scurry holes under the decking. I don't want to have to kill him. Is there anything I can use to encourage him to leave before he destroys all my hard work?" She added her own experience, noting: "It does work. My neighbours building work disturbed them and their answer was to put down poison. They all came down to my flat to die and stank it out as it was summer. Had a house full of flies as a consequence."
"I made up a spray and pretty much sprayed around the whole of my flat and they went! No more scratching, no more droppings, gone."
