Met Gala 2024 Best Dressed: Zendaya, Lana Del Rey, Sydney Sweeney & More
. The gala celebrated the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and the official dress code was “The Garden of Time.”
Topping the best-dressed list was cohost of the night Zendaya, who wore a Maison Margiela Artisanal look that was John Galliano at his best. The emerald green and blue look was composed of a lamé and organza bias-cut dress worn over a duchesse satin corset. The magic continued when it came to menswear, with Bad Bunny in a fitted Maison Margiela suit with a cinched waist, one of the trademarks of Galliano .
Lana Del Rey in Alexander McQueen was another of the night’s best looks. In a custom McQueen by Sean McGirr, it was a reinterpretation of the legendary dress from Lee McQueen himself from fall 2006. His collection was called the “Widows of Culloden.” She looked like a mythological creature from an enchanted forest. The result was magical.
Others on the best-dressed list include Nicole Kidman in Balenciaga, Gwendoline Christie in Martin Margiela, Greta Lee in Loewe, Tyla in Balmain, Colman Domingo in Willy Chavarria, Jennifer Lopez in Schiaparelli, Emma Chamberlain in Jean Paul Gaultier, Jennie in Alaïa, Sydney Sweeney in Miu Miu and Nicki Minaj in Marni.Privacy Policy
