Crawley’s 4-3 FA Cup defeat to Lincoln on Saturday made it only three wins in 20 matches for the Red Devils, and one of those victories was a 2-1 extra-time triumph over non-league Maidenhead, following a 1-1 draw at the end of 90 minutes.
It was no surprise to see the Red Devils ship four goals against the Imps on Saturday, given their depleted defence and lack of midfield cover, and it’s hard to see Elliot’s men leaving the Valley with a positive result. West Ham can’t find a regular goalscoring option, which means Lopetegui is forced into an open and attacking set-up to create chances for his goal-shy forward line and that means opportunities at the other end for the opposition.
