Fans of ghd are rushing to Amazon to snap up a pair of Gold Hair Straighteners at a significantly reduced price in a limited time offer. With a 31% discount, the ghd Gold straighteners' price has been slashed from £189 to £129.99, saving £60 off both ghd and John Lewis' retail cost.
Leaving hair silky soft, the straighteners are equipped with two next-generation heat sensors, one across each styling plate, to ensure the optimum styling temperature of 185oC is maintained from root to tip for a salon finish. One shopper who switched from their Remington straighteners to the newer Ghd Gold model was 'wowed by first use'.
"It's easy to control and use, light to hold and can be flexibly manoeuvred around the head without your arm hurting. Also, unlike with other branded straighteners, your hair doesn't feel crispy as if it's been 'fried' from the heat, this straightener leaves your hair feeling tangle free and light." For some, the lack of heat mat accompanying the straighteners meant they only got three stars, while others found it didn't straighten their hair quite as good as previous models, with one hair buff citing: "These are not as good as GHDs used to be, no temp control and seems to take ages to straighten my fine hair. More than one swipe!"
