It features 60 individually-designed bedrooms, starting from around £160 a night for a standard room and up to £1,000 for the most luxurious suites.
The New York-style hotel was the only one in the city to feature on The Sunday Times’ list of the “100 Best Places to Stay” in the UK in 2023. It praised the hotel for its “prime position” and “industrial design”. Motel One is based in the first eight floors of the new hotel building, while floors 9 to 20 are occupied by aparthotel Wilde. Rooms in Motel One start from just £75 a night, making it the more budget option out of the two, while one-bed apartments in Wilde start from £125.
Last summer a new spa and gym opened up at King Street Townhouse, in the basement of a historic Grade-II listed Italian Renaissance building adjacent to the hotel on Booth Street. It’s an indulgent wellness space with a Himalayan salt cave, spa treatments and a Eucalyptus steam room among the experiences on offer.
