This year's Scottish Italian Awards have just announced the finalists in their Scotland's Best Pizza category and it'll come as no surprise that Glasgow features heavily.
A national awards event, which celebrates the special links between Scotland and Italy, has just named its finalists for this year's Scotland's Best Pizza category, and some top Glasgow spots have been highlighted. The Scottish Italian Awards its celebrating tenth anniversary in 2023 and is once again aiming to highlight the best Scots Italian firms in the land.
Following a public vote, finalists across several top categories have now been named, including the best places in Scotland to get a pizza. Those selected will now be visited by their panel of esteemed independent judges and scored, with the winners set to be crowned at the glitzy gala final. This year, several top Glasgow pizzerias will be hoping to follow up Celino's in Partick who took home the Best Pizza crown in 2022. Hoping to defend their crown, Celino's will go up against the likes of Amore on Ingram Street, La Fiorentina on Paisley Road West and Luciano's in Burnside. While further afield, Cotto Via in Wishaw, Dino's in Ayr, Kadir's in Barrhead and The Pizzaioli in Ayr are all also hoping to win.
