Following reports and confusion about its Quality mode, Bethesda has clarified matters about Fallout 4's next-gen update on Xbox Series X.

The Fallout hype continued after the arrival of the TV show, as Bethesda gave everyone a reason to go back to the Fallout 4 achievements with its next-gen update. This would have been a great thing for the Xbox RPG, except it quickly met with confusion from players about its Quality and Performance modes and their targeted framerates. Bethesda has now shared a clarification about Fallout 4's next-gen update on Xbox Series X.

' If connected to a 120Hz display, Quality mode should apparently instead be targeting 40fps or if connected to a 1440p display, 'the title will run at 1440p resolution at 60 FPS w/ ultra settings regardless of rendering mode.' Bethesda has now shared a clarification on the matter. 'Quick note on Fallout 4 next-gen update on Xbox Series X. It actually targets 4k 60fps in all modes.
