LAS VEGAS — BetMGM, one of the world’s top sports-betting companies, will become the official sports odds provider for The Associated Press , both organizations announced Thursday.
AP will use BetMGM’s odds and lines throughout its various formats. AP also will retain editorial control of all its content. “People want trustworthy sports betting information, and we are pleased to work with BetMGM to provide a dependable and credible reference point for our customers and audiences,” said Barry Bedlan, AP’s director of global text and commercial products.
BetMGM has a presence in 29 North American markets and its mobile app is available for download on both major operating systems and at“It is a special opportunity for BetMGM to align with The Associated Press, a leading global news source that billions around the world rely on for the most up-to-date coverage,” said Matt Prevost, BetMGM chief revenue officer.
AP has been providing sports-betting lines to its customers and audience for more than 30 years and also selects an odds provider to help provide consistency in its reporting, Bedlan said.
