The Ibrox legend concedes his old team are second favourites in the race for the 2023/24 Premiership crown.
The 61-year-old has pointed to Celtic's 'erratic' form potentially giving Rangers a way back in the race for the title, with Brendan Rodgers' side currently three clear of their arch-Glasgow rivals. So, while the consensus is that Celtic are in the driving seat to retain the league trophy, McCoist isn't ruling out Rangers quite yet, as he issued a message of defiance."But, you know, you look at it. Celtic's form up until recently was a little bit erratic too. Dropping points in places you wouldn't imagine them dropping points and it's now getting to the stage where it's against the top six.
