More than 60,000 people visited the immersive experience as it took over Liverpool's Exhibition Centre
The Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience has ended its residency in Liverpool's Exhibition Centre. Visitors could enjoy a mindful exploration as the artist’s work came to life thanks to modern technology, but the city's response was far more than organisers ever expected. From Thursday, June 27 - Wednesday, July 24, more than 60,000 guests visited the experience, with 9,000 booked in for the opening weekend.
“It’s been an incredible and humbling experience to witness the reaction of Liverpool visitors. An amazing 60,000 people of all ages have come through the doors over the past four weeks, including a sold-out final day, and I couldn’t have asked for a better and more rewarding start to our UK dates. “We were also really pleased to be able to team up with dot-art to commission a new Liverpool-themed Van Gogh artwork. Joseph Venning has created a stunning piece.
