Britain's Got Talent winner Viggo Venn sat down opposite TV host Lorraine Kelly on her morning show to discuss his victory, branding the win 'not his fault' amid audience booing
Britain's Got Talent winner Viggo Venn has broken his silence after pulling out of a planned appearance on ITV's Lorraine on Tuesday, following him being booed during the final on Sunday night. The Norwegian comedy act said it's "not his fault" that he claimed victory in the popular reality talent competition.
But his win has not come without some controversy. After dancing and waving around his high-vis top to Daft Punk's One More Time during his final performance, boos could be heard from the crowd as BGT hosts Ant and Dec announced the performer as the winner. The clowning performer was seen backstage, with ITV crew members also sporting hi-vis tops or jackets, as he made an energetic entrance. He ventured behind the kitchen set where he ducked down and popped back up, before finally sitting opposite the host.
Lorraine lauded his win and said: "We need fun, and you are very silly." Reflecting on Sunday's final, he said: "I was kinda hoping I didn't win because it would be so embarrassing but I was very happy when they said it - the British public have such a sense of ridiculous humour."
