THE END OF THE WORLD is imminent, according to claims online, as the recent locust plague which swept from Pakistan across to India follows a series of horrifying events in the country, including disease, fires and floods all mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

It is the first time in almost three decades that the country has witnessed such widespread invasion by the insects, which have been flying from Iran and crossing in from the province of Sindh, in Pakistan.
