President Biden announced Wednesday that he won’t attend debates hosted by the Commission on Presidential Debates , and instead proposed two debates with former president Donald Trump.his plans to debate Trump. Trump accepted the offer, but how the events will be organized remains unclear. The proposal was outlined by the Biden-Harris campaign in a letter to the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates on Wednesday morning."Crooked Joe Biden is the worst debater I have ever faced—he can't put two sentences together," Trump told Fox News Digital. "Crooked is also the worst president in the history of the United States, by far."

President Biden and former President Trump have accepted an invitation to a presidential debate June 27 hosted by CNN, setting the stage for the first showdown between the two major party candidates ahead of the 2024 election and each party’s convention. “I’ve received and accepted an invitation from @CNN for a debate on June 27th. Over to you, Donald. As you said: anywhere, any time, any place,” Biden posted on the social platform X.WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden on Wednesday said he will not participate in fall presidential debates sponsored by the nonpartisan commission that has organized them for more than three decades and instead proposed two debates with former President Donald Trump to be held earlier in the year.
