Former President Donald Trump has asked President Joe Biden to speak out against the violence happening during protests on college campuses.
“Joe Biden is not trying to demonstrate that he has control of the situation,” Bedford said on Fox News’s. “Right now, it seems like his primary concern is not alienating the very small faction of the Democratic Party that just happens to be concentrated in some of these swing states that would be upset with him if he were perceived as cracking down on these protesters.”
Bedford added that while Biden seems to be avoiding controversy from his supporters who support Palestinians, he is potentially pushing away voters who oppose the lawlessness and chaos happening in these protests.
. The move by the former president mirrors a statement Biden made in 2020 when he criticized Trump’s handling of the Black Lives Matter protests and riots that occurred at the time.
