The Man United winger is loving international life under Marcelo Bielsa and taking lessons learned back to Old Trafford.
Several Manchester United players enjoyed an excellent international break and few more so than Facundo Pellistri.
Pellistri is already showing clear improvement under Bielsa's leadership and that will also benefit United. Erik ten Hag demands his players attack with intensity and has admitted he wants his side to be 'the best transition team in the world.'ALSO READ: How United squad could look after Ratcliffe's first summer window
“The keys were intensity, not letting the Brazilian players be comfortable and hurting them every time we have transitions, that was a bit of what we did and that’s why we won the game,” Pellistri told ESPN. “We were motivated to break that streak, we knew we could do it. It broke, so it’s an incredible day, we’re very happy and we really enjoyed it.
Speaking after the last international break - Bielsa's first in charge of Uruguay - Pellistri stressed the importance attacking intensity and it is clearly something being worked on with the national team. That is very encouraging for Ten Hag, who knows his young winger can come back not just with caps under his belt, but lessons learned from such an elite manager that will suit him at club level.
