Runners crossing the start line as the Robin Hood Half Marathon 2024 got under way at Victoria Embankment in NottinghamThousands of runners and spectators gathered at Victoria Embankment today for the annual Robin Hood Half Marathon. The race began on Sunday, September 29, at 9.30am and more than 10,000 runners set off in waves, which was followed by the Robin Hood Mini Marathon event.
Mr Hudson said: “We stayed at the Premier Inn South and it’s supposed to be a ten-minute journey. I think it took us about 45 minutes to get here, luckily we left at 7.30am as I hate to be late.” Stuart Neyton, 33, of Nottingham, completed the race as part of the Frontrunners group which is a new LGBT+ running club in the city. He said: “It was a lot better than last year when it was windy and horrible.
Ahead of the race Nottinghamshire Live also spoke to Dr Kat Lindsay, a haematologist from Liverpool who trained at Queen’s Medical Centre ten years ago.
