Trump announces the name changes for gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America
Former President Bill Clinton and his wife, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton , appeared to chuckle as Donald Trump delivered his inauguration address.
One of his more interesting proposals is to rename or restore previous titles to landmarks and bodies of water bordering the U.S., including the new 'Gulf of America.' 'A short time from now, we are going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.' 'I’m trying to figure out why everyone is not laughing. This is a third grade policy change,' a third person said.
'That covers a lot of territory. The Gulf of America. What a beautiful name. It is appropriate,' he insisted. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum hit back at Trump's plan by last week unveiling a map dating back to the 1600s that showed an early designation of North America with the title 'America Mexicana' in giant letters.
He declared a national emergency at the southern border, underscoring the importance of immigration policy to Trump's second term.
