Billie Jean King has sent a message to Ons Jabeur following her 'painful loss' to Marketa Vondrousova on Saturday. ‘Ons Jabeur is going to have to go and start over because I know how much she wants to win.'
It means the 28-year-old has lost two successive Wimbledon finals after a runner-up finish to Elena Rybakina and JabeurJabeur was bidding to become Africa’s first female Grand Slam champion and was in floods of tears on Centre Court following Vondrousova’s stunning victory.
Tennis legend King has now fired a message to Jabeur as she told the BBC: ‘It’s unbelievable. It was so emotional to watch that match from the Royal Box today.‘Everyone here wanted her to win. You couldn’t believe the crowd and the noise. I haven’t heard Centre Court like that in a long time.
